Harland David Sanders

Harland is better known as Colonel Sanders, the founder of KFC. He started his dream when he was 65 years old after he got a Social Security check for only $105. Instead of complaining, he did something about it.

He thought restaurant owners would love his fried chicken recipe, and he'd get a percentage of the sales. He drove around the country knocking on doors, sleeping in his car, always wearing his now famous white suit.

Do you know how many times people said "NO" before he finally got that one "YES"? 1009 times! Now that's a story of perseverance!
"Courage and perseverance have a magical talisman, before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish into air."
John Quincy Adams
